Capital Design & Remodeling is a local family-owned business that has been serving customers in Frederick, Maryland and surrounding areas for nearly a decade. Whether you have a small roof leak or need a whole new roof, we are here to deliver the best service to you at the lowest rates possible. We are bonded, insured, and stand behind all our work with a one year warranty. All of our roofers have to pass a strict background test and skill assessment before they can work with us. Nearly a decade ago, I entered the exterior remodeling industry focusing on roofing and siding, with a strong emphasis on storm-damage insurance claims. Early on, I realized that as insurance requirements became increasingly complex, homeowners needed an advocate who truly understood both installation standards and policy language. That challenge pushed me to master manufacturer installation instructions, proper construction methods, and real-world application, not just sales.

 In 2023, I realized homeowners are not in good hands and should NOT trust their insurance carrier because storm damage claims were being wrongfully denied more and more. As a licensed contractor, we are the verified contractors to determine if a roof or siding is compatible, repairable, or available not the insurance. The desk adjuster doesn't come to the property to look at the damage and their job is to adjust the repairs so we can do the repairs correctly.

As denials became more common, I learned that facts win. By presenting accurate documentation, code compliance, and manufacturer specifications, I helped turn denied claims into approved projects more efficiently and with less stress for homeowners. To stay ahead, I continually travel for advanced training and take ongoing online courses, not only in insurance restoration but also in building codes and manufacturer certification programs. This commitment keeps my knowledge sharp and my customers protected.

We run my operation kinda like a family restaurant,  where we deliver over the top service, clear communication, are passionate about what we do, and offer attractive pricing.

Does my roof need to be replaced or can it be repaired?

What size hail is damaging to roofs?
The age and condition of the roof are the major factors in determining how large an ice pellet needs to be to cause damage. Also, keep in mind that marble-sized hailstones typically won’t cause damage unless paired with high winds.
 

How long does it take to replace or repair a roof?
It could take anywhere from a few hours to a few days depending on the size and scope of the project.
